Inkstone 1.3.8 · Reading layout refinement

Inkstone 1.3.8 refines the reading layout and native UI behavior. Select Light mode; the theme remains standalone CSS and does not require the annotation plugin.

• Note margins adapt to each pane in Reading, Live Preview, and Source modes.
• Native Obsidian font and size preferences remain the default.
• Internal links use dotted underlines, distinct from annotation underlines.
• Explicit embedded image heights are preserved.
• Native loading indicators remain visible, and notice actions keep readable text.

Requires Obsidian 1.10.6 or later. Install or update Inkstone from Settings → Appearance → Themes → Manage after the Community Directory picks up this release. For manual theme-only installation, replace theme.css and manifest.json in .obsidian/themes/Inkstone/ while Obsidian is closed.

The direct theme.css and manifest.json attachments support Obsidian installation. The three ZIP packages are also provided: theme 1.3.8, annotation plugin 1.1.8, and the reading kit containing both. SHA256SUMS covers all five runtime and ZIP files. Keep plugin data.json when updating the optional plugin.

Validation: 107 JavaScript tests, 35 Python tests, and ZIP integrity/content checks passed. The existing native verification record covers 37 interaction groups and 22 theme checks on macOS Obsidian; native checks were not rerun for this release. Mobile apps, physical e-ink devices, and the minimum supported 1.10.6 version have not been verified on-device.
