• Restores the bottom-left node picker so clicking the current node opens a dedicated selector.
• Keeps node switching available even when the current node is offline, unauthorized, loading, or refreshing.
• Renders the picker above the sidebar and page content without clipping.
• Prevents the picker from immediately closing on the same click that opens it.
• Adds keyboard support for opening, navigating, selecting, and closing the picker.
• Keeps centralized selected-node state and stale-response protections intact.
• Adds regression coverage for node picker interaction and node switching guards.
