A clearer path from “I need another account” to a safe daily workflow

aisw 0.3.9 is a documentation-focused release that makes the project easier to evaluate, adopt, and use correctly. It explains the product around the problems developers actually have: switching between work and personal logins, coordinating different accounts across Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, and Antigravity CLI, and preventing the wrong account from being used in a repository.

What is new

  • A task-oriented documentation entry point that routes readers from a quick switch to the deeper material they need.
  • A new FAQ with direct answers for common account-switching questions, including multi-account Claude Code, Codex CLI profiles, Gemini CLI, per-client contexts, repository guardrails, local-only security, and troubleshooting.
  • Deeper explanations of how profiles, contexts, live tool state, backups, identity matching, and atomic rollback fit together.
  • Clearer onboarding for OAuth, API keys, live imports, stdin-based secret input, automation, and provider-specific limitations.
  • An acceptance matrix that makes supported tools, authentication paths, platforms, and state modes easy to verify before installation.
  • Three real terminal walkthroughs covering profile recovery, mixed-tool contexts, and repository guardrails. The recordings use actual aisw commands and are generated from reproducible scripts.

Why this matters

The core workflow has not changed: aisw keeps named profiles locally, applies the selected profile to the upstream tool’s live state, and can verify or protect that state before an agent starts. This release makes those boundaries explicit, including where switching is safe, where a new agent process is required, and where an upstream provider’s storage model imposes a limitation.

There are no breaking CLI changes in 0.3.9. Existing profiles and configuration remain compatible.
