v1.0.0
Features
- Real-time transcription — captures your Mac's system audio with a Core Audio process tap and transcribes Japanese speech as it's spoken (partials in the HUD, finalized sentences in the transcript).
- On-device translation — Japanese → English via Apple's Translation framework by default; optional cloud providers (Google Translate, DeepL, OpenRouter) with retry/fallback, a cloud disclosure prompt, and Keychain-stored API keys.
- Floating subtitle HUD — always-on-top, semi-transparent, click-through overlay that steps through translated entries without covering your video.
- Reading aids — toggle inline romaji or furigana over the transcript.
- Tap-to-lookup dictionary — click any word for definitions, pitch accent, and JLPT level from a bundled dictionary database, with homograph paging and name-entry badges.
- Session export — save transcripts as TXT, SRT, VTT, or JSON.
