Automatic updates are enabled in all three public builds. Windows users on alpha.2 can use Settings > Updates > Check now. Earlier internal builds, including the private signed Mac build, need a manual installation of a public build once. Intel Mac and Linux ARM installers are not included.

All platform builds passed desktop checks, translation tests, backend startup smoke tests, and artifact integrity checks. The Mac build additionally passed signature, notarization staple, and Gatekeeper verification. Full install/update testing on end-user Mac and Linux systems remains to be confirmed.

Platform-specific checksums and build manifests identify the exact source revision and workflow run. Windows source: 85534c99bf6c5735c3f10a9952f9bddc9245aa3c. Mac source: 3eb65b90f39b0270b0bc6ca9352a932c7ba32c6f. Linux source: 891f5cc3564a12e737f7fcde4d24d2f4cfab72cc. Alpha software. Windows installers are unsigned; Windows may show a publisher warning. Linux downloads are AppImages. Mac downloads are included only after signing and notarization.

This release enables Worktree update notifications. Users of the original internal alpha must install this version manually once. Existing data is retained. Source code is maintained in a separate private repository.

Platform-specific SHA256SUMS and build manifests accompany the downloads.

Worktree 0.1.0-alpha.1 — Windows early access

Early Windows alpha for team testing.

• Fixes startup on PCs where Windows reserves the default service port.
• Defaults fresh profiles to the Worktree theme.
• Removes the titlebar channel logo.

Download the Windows x64 EXE below and run it. Windows may show an unknown-publisher warning because this alpha is unsigned.

Automatic updates are disabled in this build. Install the upcoming update-enabled release manually once to receive future updates in the app. The new full-language localization pass is also coming in that release.

The desktop was built from the September 30 main revision a44a18b9fb (desktop source equivalent to v2-foundation 0cddd818bd); bundled backend is 2.0.18 from the preceding verified CI build. This is prerelease software for early testing. Keep projects backed up.

To collaborate, the host opens the project, enables Sharing, and sends an invitation code. The guest joins the shared project and waits for host approval. The host computer must remain online.
