  • Fixed emoji/unicode display - All emoji (🔄📥📚🎉⚡✅ etc.) now display correctly instead of garbled text
  • Fixed Update Available dialog - Download and "Remind Me Later" buttons now visible
  • Fixed README - Corrected Gatekeeper instructions for macOS Ventura/Sonoma/Sequoia

📦 MAJOR: True Standalone App (No Homebrew Required!)

The build system now properly bundles all GUI dependencies:

Bundled Libraries:

  • Tcl/Tk library folders (tcl9.0/tk9.0 or tcl8.6/tk8.6)
  • Tcl/Tk dynamic libraries (libtcl*.dylib, libtk*.dylib)
  • libtommath (required by Tcl 9.0 for big number support)
  • All Homebrew dependencies auto-detected via otool -L

Build System Improvements:

  • Library paths fixed using install_name_tool for portable deployment
  • _tkinter.so and all Python extension modules patched
  • Launcher wrapper sets TCL_LIBRARY, TK_LIBRARY, DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH

Result: The app now works on a completely fresh macOS installation - no Homebrew, no Tcl/Tk install, no manual setup required!

📋 Installation

  1. Download YouTube.4K.Downloader.app.zip
  2. Unzip and drag to Applications
  3. First launch: Double-click → System Settings → Privacy & Security → "Open Anyway"
