What's New in v18.0.8

πŸ›‘οΈ Smart Error Detection

The app now intelligently detects and explains why certain videos can't be downloaded, instead of appearing frozen or showing cryptic errors:

  • πŸ”ž Age-Restricted Videos - Clear instructions on how to use browser cookies for authentication
  • πŸ”’ Private Videos - Explains the video is not publicly accessible
  • 🚫 Unavailable Videos - Handles deleted, region-blocked, and copyright-claimed content
  • πŸ‘€ Login Required - Identifies members-only and subscription content

When you encounter a problematic video, you'll now see:

  • A helpful dialog explaining exactly what's wrong
  • Detailed instructions in the Activity Log
  • Specific workaround commands you can copy and use

πŸ› Bug Fixes

  • Restored all emoji icons - UI emojis now display correctly throughout the app
  • Fixed lambda closure bug - Exception handlers in threaded analysis now work properly
  • Removed duplicate code - Cleaned up duplicate class definitions that were causing issues
  • Better responsiveness - App no longer appears frozen when analyzing problematic videos
