v0.33.2

ByteChef now starts with no database, no credentials, and no config file. Run one Docker command and you are in the editor. That is the headline of this release. Billing, user management in Community Edition, and a rebuilt docs site came along with it.

Start in one command

ByteChef runs on H2 now, so local and Docker evaluation needs zero setup ([#5686](#5686)). The Docker image starts cleanly on H2 and ships for both amd64 and arm64 ([#5741](#5741)). The encryption key is generated and persisted on first run instead of being baked into the image ([#5654](#5654)).

The README and quick-start guides were rewritten around that first run ([#5738](#5738)), plus a new FAQ that corrects what we claim about connectors, flow control, triggers, and polyglot support ([#5657](#5657)).

Billing

Stripe is in ([#5378](#5378)), with a Customer Portal for updating payment details ([#5718](#5718)).

More in Community Edition

User management moved from Enterprise to Community ([#5599](#5599)). CE invites go out as admin and the Role dropdown is hidden; roles stay Enterprise. Alongside that, social login can no longer self-provision admins, and a refused SAML session now actually ends ([#5619](#5619)).

AI Providers moved into Community, and AI Skills moved into Settings ([#5730](#5730)).

These shipped out from behind feature flags: streaming chat, Ask (stream), the Form trigger ([#5543](#5543)), AI Agent tools ([#5550](#5550)), and project and workflow sharing ([#5656](#5656)).

Reliability

Scheduled workflows could stop executing entirely until the instance was restarted. Fixed with a shared bounded task executor and an HTTP client that no longer hangs without a response timeout ([#5687](#5687)).

Dynamic webhook trigger refresh now runs under Quartz as intended ([#5652](#5652)). SpEL expressions no longer parse differently in test than in deployment ([#5677](#5677)). Task output value types are preserved, and formula evaluation failures surface instead of going quiet ([#5608](#5608)).

Execution logs you can read

Workflow execution logs now show readable values, store per task durably, include cluster element and trigger logs, and show rows for failed triggers ([#5643](#5643)).

Every node shows which component version it uses, and component lists show only the latest version of each ([#5665](#5665)).

Docs

Navigation was rebuilt from the ground up ([#5541](#5541)). New embedded guide and API reference, generated from the Next config, with the OpenAPI spec fixes behind them ([#5571](#5571), [#5574](#5574)). Reference pages for the condition and loop task dispatchers ([#5548](#5548)). Enterprise pages are tiered and marked in frontmatter ([#5585](#5585), [#5586](#5586)). And docs.bytechef.io is now legible to coding agents ([#5752](#5752)).

New connectors and triggers

Beamer ([#5479](#5479)), Cal.com ([#5440](#5440)), Browser Use V4 run actions ([#5588](#5588)), ScrapeUnblocker ([#5529](#5529)), and a Google Sheets modified-row trigger ([#5719](#5719)).

The v2 New Row triggers now detect new rows by content rather than position, so reordering a sheet no longer fires false inserts ([#5658](#5658), [#5749](#5749)).

Editor and UI

Around sixty fixes went into the client. The ones most likely to change your day:

  • Function autocomplete for expressions in property inputs ([#5581](#5581))
  • Environment selector moved into the app sidebar header ([#5602](#5602))
  • Missing workflow data is surfaced on the canvas instead of failing silently ([#5705](#5705)), and map, each, and subflow references are validated against the dispatcher schemas ([#5736](#5736))
  • Publish is disabled when a project has no unpublished changes ([#5570](#5570))
  • Project Deployments side panel shows a deployed workflow's executions and its read-only definition ([#5780](#5780))
  • Workflow lists show the trigger separately from task components ([#5714](#5714))
  • Data table grid colors, footer placement, and actions menu cleaned up ([#5764](#5764))
  • Nested data pill references resolve correctly ([#5565](#5565)), and an AI agent nested in a task dispatcher stays intact ([#5564](#5564))
