which has a security-critical bugfix.
also brings in:
and deletes the faerie submodule. Using the submodule was valuable way back when faerie and the rest of the deps were changing pretty frequently, but its past being useful, we can stick to the crates.io releases from now on, or switch back to the submodule again if the need arises.
