• [NEW] Realtime toggles for inhibition of filter and digi samples are now available in the Modify Playback window.
  • The Filter enabled setting has been removed from the Preferences, as it's now a realtime toggle.
• [IMPROVED] Increased the seeking speed in the realtime playback mode.
  • By automatically disabling the voices and filter while the seeking is underway, there is an additional 3x-4x boost (e.g., if you got 14x seeking speed, now you could get around 17x for the same tune). Though YMMV and there are no guarantees!
  • This speedup is effective only while seeking in the realtime playback mode (i.e., with "Instant seeking" option disabled -- the speed of the Instant seeking pre-render has not changed).
• [FIXED] Fixed STIL labels failing to reappear on manual re-toggle on (until the tune is changed).
• [FIXED] Fixed edge case issues (related to changing the emulation settings in the Preferences) where the manually muted SID voices could fail to auto-reset despite being indicated as enabled in the UI, and the potential crash.
• [FIXED] Workaround for the seeking progress not being visible on Linux (Kubuntu) under Wine.
  • Please note that while the sidplaywx application runs fine under Wine, it is not fully supported that way (e.g., STIL isn't displayed due to a layout problem where the label is zero width, and there may be issues with text colors, styles etc.). At least this should now prompt me to work on a native Linux support/build sooner rather than later...
• Upgraded build to UCRT64 & gcc 14.2, upgraded distribution build to wxWidgets 3.2.6 and libsidplayfp 2.10.1.
  • It seems that now with UCRT64, only the Windows 8 requires some additional Windows DLLs -- which I don't supply to avoid bloating the release distribution (since it works without them on Windows 7, 10 and 11 as well as Wine). These DLLs are listed in the commit description d556ee3.
• Added the /MUSICIANS/M/Mueller_Markus/Coco_Intro.sid in the bundled songs.
