Claude Desktop Integration (MCPB)

This release includes ragent-0.0.72.mcpb — a ready-to-use package for connecting Claude Desktop to your RAGent MCP server.

What is MCPB?

MCPB (MCP Bundle) is an installable package format for Claude Desktop. Instead of manually editing JSON config files, you simply open the .mcpb file and Claude Desktop registers the MCP server automatically.

Quick Start

  1. Download ragent-0.0.72.mcpb from the Assets below
  2. Open the file — Claude Desktop will prompt you to install it
  3. Configure the server URL when prompted (default: http://localhost:8080/mcp)
  4. Start your RAGent MCP server: ragent mcp-server
  5. Use the hybrid_search tool in Claude Desktop to search your knowledge base

Prerequisites

  • Claude Desktop
  • uv (required for the uvx command used internally)
  • A running RAGent MCP server (ragent mcp-server)
