vicash v0.1.0
First release of vicash. Single-binary capture card preview and LAN relay for streamers on low end or workaround setups.
Download and run
Grab vicash.exe from the assets below. Double-click it. Pick your capture card from the dropdown. Press F1 inside the window for the settings panel.
What it does
- Direct, low latency preview window for your capture card. GPU rendered (wgpu), renders only when a new frame arrives so CPU and GPU stay idle the rest of the time.
- Fullscreen / borderless / always-on-top so the window can replace a second monitor for a console.
- Audio passthrough from the capture card to your default output device, with a live sync delay slider and volume / mute / device switcher.
- Optional MJPEG over HTTP relay (
--serve 0.0.0.0:8080) so a second PC can pull the feed in OBS as a browser source. - Per-frame latency meter in the F1 panel (capture-to-present plus capture frame interval).
- Settings persist to
%APPDATA%\caaatto\vicash\config.toml.

Languages
Deutsch, English, Simplified Chinese (load Microsoft YaHei from Windows fonts).
Known limits
- Many cheap USB3 capture cards actually run on a USB2 chip. They advertise 1080p60 but only sustain 30 fps at that resolution. vicash defaults to 1280x720 60 fps for this reason; if your card is genuinely USB3 you can switch to 1080p in the F1 Capture section.
- Software pipeline latency on a modern PC measures under 1 ms (visible in the F1 Performance section). The remaining perceived lag is the capture card itself plus your monitor input lag.
Build from source
cargo build --release
Requires Rust stable. On Windows the GNU toolchain with MinGW-w64 on PATH is the easiest setup; windres.exe is needed so the icon resource compiles.
