Telegram Drive Android & Android TV v4.1.0 (Preview)

Android v4.1.0 beta adds native video and audio streaming from Telegram. Playback
begins before the whole file has downloaded, with bounded buffering, seeking,
resume, playback speed and picture-in-picture where supported by the format and
device.

• Sidebar fix (#212): the folder drawer stays closed until opened on phones and can be dismissed with Close, an outside tap, a left swipe or Back. Tablets and TVs also have visible close/reopen controls.
• Android TV / Google TV: the universal package includes the TV launcher, remote navigation, and the same 4.1.0 feature updates as phones and tablets.
• Personal workspace: organize indexed files into collections and tags, save searches, browse a media timeline, and view photo slideshows.
• Offline trip packs: prepare a selected collection for travel, manage device storage, and review transfer activity and scheduled cleanup.
• Offline library: keep files on the device and open them after restarting
  without a connection. Reconnecting preserves the current library view.
• Search and favorites: search across indexed folders and filter by file
  type, date or size. Mark favorites for quick access.
• Tablet workspace: resize the navigation pane, view files and details side
  by side, and use the keyboard to search and select files.
• Player controls: double-tap either side to seek, swipe the left/right side
  for brightness/volume, lock accidental touches, and select SRT or WebVTT
  subtitles. Gestures are available when the playback controls are hidden.
• Transfer controls: pause or resume a single item, prioritize pending work,
  retry failed items, and see waiting reasons and estimated remaining time.
• Telegram links: supported public/private channel or group links open the
  folder or file your account can access, including when starting the app.
• Optional camera backup: choose photo/video albums and a Telegram folder in
  Settings → Camera backup. Background uploads skip duplicates and support
  unmetered Wi-Fi and charging requirements. Interrupted uploads reuse their
  prepared local copy without requiring space for a second one. Files use regular
  Telegram cloud storage without the app's file encryption; originals stay on
  the device.
• Android file picker: browse Telegram Drive from the system's Files picker
  and open files in other apps while the main screen is closed. Access respects
  the current account and app lock. Android 7 supports sequential readers;
  Android 8 and later also support seeking.

A temporary startup or network failure preserves your saved Telegram account
and API details. The app does not log you out for inactivity. If Telegram
revokes the session, sign in again using the retained details.

Every feature is available without payment. Existing $5 lifetime supporters
remain ad-free; this update does not require another purchase.

The universal APK supports Android 7.0 or later with Android System WebView or
Chrome 111 or later. Install it over the existing app to retain data and
supporter activation. Do not uninstall the previous version first. The separate
Android release contains only the compiled, signed APK. Desktop 3.9.0 installers
are published separately.
