Release v1.2.0: Project Renaming & Enhanced Data Parsing

Happy new year 2026 🎉🎉🎉

Features

  • Support comma-formatted numbers: Added the ability to correctly parse amount values containing thousand separators (e.g., "1,234.56"). This includes a new cleaning pipeline that sanitizes numeric data before validation.

Bugfixes

  • Fix user column detection: Forced detection logic to prioritize user-specified column names over auto-detection defaults.
  • Fix test case: Corrected the auto-detection test suite to properly handle unknown column names.

Refactors

  • (Breaking) Project Renaming: The project has been renamed from easysplit to splitbill. This includes directory structure changes (src/easysplit -> src/splitbill).
  • DataColumn Enum: Introduced a DataColumn enum to improve code maintainability and type safety for column references.

Chore

  • Updated .gitignore configuration.
