[BUG] cannot change keyboard layout

i cannot change my keyboard layout to anything other than US.

ive already tried to:
change the shell.json to NO (the keyboard i want(
hyprctl keyword input:kb_layout no
restarted and reloaded my computer and hyprctl reload
ive even tried downloading fcitx5 which worked for 1 day, then stopped working

if its something obvious, go easy on me, im brand new to linux

i dont know where i can any log related to all this, tell me in the comments where i can find them if needed

You can change your keyboard layout in the hyprland config. The setting is input:kb_layouts iirc. Please read the hyprland wiki for more info

this is one of the first things ive tried, but its still stuck at en US, and the norwegian keyboard doesnt show up in the keyboard layout menu either

i figured it out. i had to manually edit the "input.conf" file to change from US to NO
