How to create color schemes?

Is there some available default themes? I found services/Colours.qml, config/Appearance.qml and config/BorderConfig.qml. Is there a tutorial how to create your own theme? If not, is there a reason to create some default themes (i can try to do it myself)

There are some default schemes in /usr/lib/python3.13/site-packages/caelestia/data/schemes. You can set the scheme either using the cli (caelestia scheme set -n <scheme name>, see caelestia scheme set -h for more info) or the launcher.

The dynamic scheme pulls colours from your wallpaper and generates a material scheme for it.

If you want to make your own colour scheme, a scheme file is just a text file with the colour names and values in the format

name hex
...

The hex code is without the # and the colour names can be found in the existing schemes.

There is no support for custom schemes for now, however if you make one feel free to ping me and I'll add it to the preexisting schemes!

ok, thank you very much! i found themes in python package dir and can set it with caelestia shell cmd, but when i write >schemes nothing appear

its not a big issue, but it seems to be a bit interesting

I have the same problem not finding any schemes in the launcher, and also no "wallpaper" like shown in your demonstration video to change wallpapers.

its a completely fresh install using your install.sh after cloning it into .local/share/caelestia

ah so theres no actual method to create schemes you would need to craft your own. was looking for the conf file could not find it other then a text file that crashed every time i opened it

У этой темы нет light мода, только dark. А вообще меняйте через настройки, так проще

There are on the file the color and you just need to see what color is what and after you pick your color you want to make and you make it there as a new Color name /dark or light
