[BUG] Quickshell keeps crashing over and over after update

Step 3. Describe the issue

After the update when i login to hyprland quickshell crashes over and over again

i kinda don't know what to do so if any more information or logs are needed please tell me.

edit2: i have updated everything and also tried reinstalling the entire dots and quickshell

FR, the shell crashes almost every time I restart it or when it reloads

From what I can tell, the crash is not caused by the changes I made. The logs don’t show anything that points to a clear cause.

I could be wrong, but the crashes seem to have started after adding the utilities module, and especially the record control (commit 4b221e2)

Well for me it is not whenever i restart it it is when i login.
it tries to load the files, fails and crashes it then tried to load them again and crashes again until i kill the processes

EXACTLY. Neither caelestia nor quickshell logs show any fatal error.

i have also tried reinstalling and rebuilding the shell as well as all the dependencies as well but the issue persisted.

Have you tried updating the shell? The crash should be mostly fixed with 1984458. It still happens sometimes on launch for no goddamn reason 😭, but it should appear much less often.

Yeah I updated and rebuilt the shell as well.

I will do a full reinstall of my OS i was about to do it anyways
