v0.38.1
KPI board fixes for when Paperclip is not used.
- Answers belong to the task that asked. Answering a CEO question no longer adds a new row. The issues the answer's run opens go under the task that asked, and an answer to a question raised by an earlier answer still goes to the first task. Older answers are recognized by their opening words.
- Only finished Paperclip history. Imported Paperclip work that was still open there is left out, because it cannot move any more.
v0.38.0
The KPI board works without Paperclip.
- What it shows. When Cubicle does not read Paperclip and the CEO task box is on, 📊 KPI shows the tasks you gave the CEO. Under each task are the GitHub issues its run opened, with their state read with
gh: queued, a worker on it, a PR in review, waiting for you, or closed. - Progress, done and ETA come from those issues. A task is done when its issues are closed.
- Where it is kept. The board is stored in
~/.cubicle/kpi.json. Tasks already in the run history are added on start. - Keeping Paperclip's history.
npx @caglarutkuguler/cubicle kpi-import [paperclip url]copies Paperclip's tasks in once. CEO tasks that were mirrored into Paperclip are shown from the local record, not twice.
v0.37.6
In a window opened on a folder of projects, a cd straight into one of the projects (for example cd Modules/onefee) now names the card after that project too. Before, only edits and deeper cds did.
v0.37.5
A window opened on a folder of projects is now named after the project being worked on.
- The problem. Opening the editor on the folder that holds the projects (for example
Prestashop/Modules, with a module in each subfolder) named every session after that folder. - The fix. When that folder has no project file of its own and is not the home folder, edits and
cdinside it name the card after the project being worked on: the nearest folder with a project file or<folder>.php, otherwise the first folder below. - A window opened on a real project keeps its own name, as before.
v0.37.4
A session that works in a sibling project now takes that project's name.
- The problem. An editor window is often opened on one project while the work happens in another folder beside it, for example a portfolio of PrestaShop modules under one folder. Every session then showed the window's folder name, here accountactivation.
- The fix. The hook now follows edits and
cd. When the target is outside the session's folder, the card is named after that project: the nearest folder with.git,package.json,composer.json,config.xmlor a<folder>.php, otherwise the first folder below the one they share. - Reading another project, temporary folders and the home folder do not count.
- Working back in the session's own folder brings its name back.
- The name is kept across turns, and subagents and background tasks follow it.
- Hooks installed as a copy (
~/.cubicle/bin/cubicle-hook.js, made when the hooks were installed with npx) need the new copy. Runningnpx @caglarutkuguler/cubicle install-hooksagain refreshes it.
v0.37.3
Open the office in Edge to get a woman's voice.
- Why women and men sounded the same in Chrome. Chrome on Windows offers only the voices Windows has, and for Turkish that is just Tolga, a man's voice. It also ignores pitch, so a different pitch could not tell women from men.
- What the voice menu does now. It says this plainly. On Windows outside Edge it adds Open in Edge, which opens the same office with the same choices;
?keep=1saves them as Edge's own. Edge has natural voices built in, for example Turkish Emel (a woman) and Ahmet (a man), and Cubicle picks them by itself. - To stay in Chrome, the README points to the open-source NaturalVoiceSAPIAdapter, which makes those voices available to every Windows program.
- Shared links now carry the women / men choice (
?voicesex=mix|f|m).
v0.37.2
Voice settings for women and men, with a button to try them.
- ⚙ → Voice → Women / men can be set to:
- as the office draws them (the default);
- mixed (every other agent, whatever it looks like);
- everyone a woman;
- everyone a man.
- ✎ → Voice on one agent still wins over this setting.
- Woman's voice / Man's voice pick the voice for each. Natural voices (Edge) come first and are preferred automatically.
- ▶ Try plays both.
- When the browser has no voice of one sex for the language, the menu says so. Chrome on Windows, for example, has only Tolga for Turkish, and Edge has Emel and Ahmet. The voice it has is then pitched further.
v0.37.1
Voice: starting and finished work are now spoken, and every agent speaks with a woman's or a man's voice.
- Starts work / Work done were silent for runs that come in already working and end by leaving, such as headless workers and Claude sessions. Feed completion times also did not reach the page. Now:
- an agent that appears already running is announced as starting;
- one that leaves while running, or gets a new completion time, is announced as done.
- The speech queue can no longer jam when the browser drops an utterance's end event.
- A woman's or a man's voice. The office goes by what it draws (a skirt, heels, long hair, a bun or a ponytail), and ✎ → Voice sets it for an agent. Natural voices are matched by name, for example Edge's Emel and Ahmet or Windows' Tolga. When the browser has no voice of that sex, the pitch moves the one it has.
v0.37.0
Agents can speak, if you want them to.
- ⚙ → Voice (agents speak) reads out what happens, with five separate switches: Needs me ("WebDev needs you: …"), Starts work (with the task), Work done, Errors and Chats (what agents say on their break). All off by default.
- It uses the browser's own speech (Web Speech API), so it is free, needs nothing installed, and Cubicle sends nothing anywhere.
- Each agent keeps its own voice and pitch. Speaking voice can also pick one voice for everyone.
- Microsoft Edge has natural voices for many languages, Turkish included. On Windows, a language pack adds a voice to every browser.
- Kept per browser.
?voice=wait,start,done,err,chat(or?voice=all) sets it in a kiosk link, and Copy link includes it.
v0.36.0
Optional pets that wander the office.
- ⚙ → Pets adds a cat 🐈, a dog 🐕, a rabbit 🐇 and/or a robot vacuum 🤖, one of each you pick, in every theme. Off by default.
- They walk around the desks like the agents and keep to their habits. The cat naps (more at night) or sits by someone who is working. The dog sits by an agent who needs you or trots after one who walks by. The rabbit hops and nibbles. The robot vacuum makes its rounds and stops to charge.
- Click one to say hello.
- Kept per browser;
?pets=cat,dogsets it in a link, and Copy link includes it.
