region, a window, or the whole screen. Press the key again to stop, or to
close the picker. Pick a fixed mode in Settings to skip it.
Recordings save as MP4 by default; WebM and GIF are in Settings.

Darvin's Selection 0.2.2 is an unsigned alpha build. Verify the included checksums before installing.

Fixes

• Settings save no longer errors when "Launch at sign in" is off. Turning autostart off and saving used to fail with "the system cannot find the file specified (os error 2)" (it tried to remove a launch entry that was never created). Fixed on all platforms.
• Editor tools stay active after use. Draw several arrows, blur multiple areas, or place several text boxes in a row without re-picking the tool each time. Switch to Select to move or resize.
• Editor toolbar no longer overflows. With sub-tool options open (color, size, counter controls) the toolbar used to spill into a broken scrollbar; the options now sit on their own row.

What's new

• Reassignable capture triggers — bind quick/edit/link to any key combo, or a mouse button (Linux). On Wayland, your desktop's own shortcut binder resolves conflicts system-wide.
• Launch at sign-in — on by default so your triggers keep working after restarts.
• Fixes — editor and settings windows now close properly (and no longer take the tray app down with them); editor toolbar layout; onboarding fits without scrolling.
