YouVersion Suggest v10 is a major release with more options for copying Bible references, several speedups to filtering, and overall better usability.

New Features

  • Added a new preference called "Reference Format", which defines the format of copied Bible references. You can find available options by typing yvset refformat
  • The Filter Reference feature now shows the last chapter/verse when the chapter/verse you entered does not exist; for example, "ps 23.3-9" now displays "Psalm 23:3-6" (since there are only 6 verses in Psalm 23)
  • yvset version now displays the full name of every version (not just the abbreviation)
  • The Copy to Clipboard feature now notifies you when there an error ccurred
  • The yvset command now matches available values by word (e.g. yvset language esp lat will now match Español (América Latina) as expected)
  • Made small improvements to the performance of the yvfilter command to be more responsive to quick typing
