v0.1.0
The first release of Calendrop: a menu bar app that shows your next Google Calendar meeting and, shortly before it starts, covers every screen until you join it or deliberately dismiss it.
Install
brew install --cask calendrop-app/tap/calendropOr download Calendrop-0.1.0-macos-arm64.zip below, unzip it and move Calendrop.app into /Applications. Calendrop is self-signed rather than notarized, so allow its first launch in System Settings › Privacy & Security. It needs macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon.
What it does
- Shows the next meeting and a countdown in the menu bar, and today's and tomorrow's meetings in the menu, each with its details, a join link and the event in Google Calendar.
- Cuts in on every display a few minutes before a meeting, above full-screen apps, with Join as the largest target. Dismissing without joining takes a press and hold, or ⌃⌥⌘⎋.
- Reads several Google accounts at once, read-only, with a label, a colour and a choice of calendars for each.
- Marks meetings you answered "maybe" to or have not answered, and can leave them out of cut-ins.
- Keeps its settings on iCloud Drive for your other Macs; sign-in tokens stay in each Mac's Keychain.
