v0.2.0

@lambdalisue lambdalisue released this 16 Oct 08:59

Calendrop no longer covers your call. When a meeting comes due while you are already in one, the cut-in steps aside instead of hiding the call — or the screen you are sharing.

Install

brew install --cask calendrop-app/tap/calendrop

Or download Calendrop-0.2.0-macos-arm64.zip below, unzip it and move Calendrop.app into /Applications. Calendrop is self-signed rather than notarized, so allow its first launch in System Settings › Privacy & Security. It needs macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon.

What's new

  • Cut-ins during a call. While any app uses the microphone or the camera, you count as in a call, whichever app it runs in. Calendrop only checks whether the devices are running and never records anything, so it asks for no permission.
  • Choose how a call is interrupted in Settings › General › During a call: full screen as before, a compact card, or nothing at all — and whether a cut-in held back during the call covers every screen once it ends. By default, a compact card appears during the call and the screen is covered afterwards, unless the meeting is already over.
  • The compact card carries the same Join buttons and press-and-hold dismiss, and never takes the keyboard from your call. It drops in at the top centre of the main screen by default; pick another edge or corner in Settings › Appearance › Compact card, and try it there with Try Compact.
