Why isn't shelfmark search finding a book that is on anna's archive?

Getting the same issue with a book I'm looking for in Hebrew:

Also getting the same issue; found an .epub very easily on AA but shelfmark returns no results, regardless of if I use an external CF bypasser or the built-in one.

@fortnitemaster32 thats because by default, shelfmark does not look for PDF files, and I did a quick look and all 6 annaès archive link are PDF
You can just toggle it on in the UI to add it to the result

@rgonaute It seems to work for me ?

Could you maybe share some logs ? (I have the free default annas-archive, no payed or API key)

There might be a bug in the backend language selector

@calibrain Thanks for your quick response :) I added the .vg mirror and it seems to be working now! Must've just been a mirror issue? Odd though because the .gl domain was the one I searched in my web browser that gave me results. The book in question was Christopher Buehlman's Between Two Fires.

Looks like it's getting stuck on the metadata provider on the universal search:

Indeed it works for me in direct mode as well. Is there trick to work with the universal search ?

Might be also a different problem, but when searching for audiobooks often the releases are tagged as books and can be only discovered by manually clicking on "Expanded search".

Which is listed as ebook and therefore cannot be found with the regular universal search:

Yeah, I am not too familiar with the Universal search, as I personally don't use it
But that does sound like a bug
I will try to take a look, but this kind of bugs can be very tricky, and I don't have lots of personal time these days, but once life calms down a bit I will focus back more on this project !

Not having pdf toggled seems to have solved my issue. Thanks for the help. I think the issue for @b3n3w is different so I'll close this issue.
