• Fixed missing SQL function colours in the query editor. Functions such as ROUND, AVG, SUM and COUNT now use the same colour vocabulary as chat code blocks, including while typing and in large scripts.

PractiSQL 3.4.268 — SQL completion fix

• Improved SQL completion context: sorting directions, expression positions and JOIN continuations now use the surrounding SQL grammar. Window clauses and nested queries keep their own context.
• Fixed multi-word suggestions so the selected mode also extends JOIN phrases and declared relationships. Accepting a suggestion preserves existing SQL after the cursor. Ambiguous tables and conditions are not invented.

• Fixed severe typing and editor-resizing lag when large query results are visible. Result tables now render visible rows while preserving the complete result, sorting and cell copying.
• Fixed unwanted SELECT * FROM suggestions in empty editors and after finished queries. Improved alias handling inside SQL functions and removed unrelated suggestions where a value is expected. SQL highlighting and completion remain enabled.

• Improved responsiveness when editing large SQL scripts or typing in the AI conversation. Syntax highlighting stays enabled; incremental editing, background parsing and viewport rendering reduce work on the interface thread.
• Improved local SQL suggestions with table, alias, column and declared relationship context. Word, next-word, three-word and line modes now apply their selected completion length.
• Successful automatic SQL repairs no longer add internal error diagnostics to the final teaching explanation. Explicit debugging requests and unresolved errors remain visible.

This maintenance build retains the update fixes delivered in 3.4.262 and verifies the normal release-upgrade route from 3.4.262 to 3.4.263. Application behavior is unchanged; the package version is advanced so existing installations can discover a real newer release.

• A new version appears in the top notification area with download progress and Update now.
• Installation requires explicit restart confirmation. Deferring does not install on normal application exit.
• Failed checks leave a retryable status. The installer preserves the existing application profile.
• Windows x64 installer, blockmap, update metadata and SHA-256 checksums are provided together.

The installer is unsigned. See the README security notice. The GitHub update feed is anonymous only while this repository is public; no repository token is distributed with the application.

Included workflows

• Ask SQL questions, request a query for your schema, explain existing SQL and follow up on actual results.
• Use schema-based local completion, syntax highlighting, query plans, history and visual relationships.
• Follow guided lessons, solve challenges, practise SQL expressions and take AI-backed exams.
• Export database-based study workbooks and lesson explanations to PDF.
• Build data projects from documented sources and review SQL, numeric results and business interpretations.
• Choose Light, Leaf or Dark; use English or Turkish and adjust interface scale.

Update behavior

New versions appear in the top notification panel with download progress and Update now. Installation requires explicit restart confirmation. Deferring does not install on normal exit, and failed checks leave a clear retryable status.

Distribution status

This Windows x64 release includes the verified installer, blockmap and update metadata. Windows x64 is the initial target; macOS is in preparation. While the repository is private, downloads require repository access and the anonymous GitHub update feed is unavailable. No repository token is bundled with the application.
