iOS build requirement
The Payment and Identity packages now use Stripe iOS SDK 26.6.x. Build iOS applications with Xcode 26 or newer. The minimum iOS deployment target remains iOS 15.
Register result listeners during application bootstrap
On Android, an Activity and its JavaScript runtime can be recreated while PaymentSheet, PaymentFlow, Google Pay, or Stripe Identity is open. The original Promise cannot be restored. Register the corresponding result listeners once per JavaScript application startup, as early as possible during bootstrap and before presenting Stripe UI.
When Stripe delivers the result to the recreated Activity, the plugin can retain the native result event in memory until the new listener is available. This does not persist results across OS process death. See the Payment and Identity READMEs for examples.
Apple Pay shipping contact handlers
Applications that listen for ApplePayEventsEnum.DidSelectShippingContact should respond by calling Stripe.updateApplePaySheet(...) with the event's updateId and the updated paymentSummaryItems. If no update is supplied, the plugin waits up to 25 seconds and then continues with the original items.
Tap to Pay on iPhone
isTapToPayAccountLinked() is now available on iOS 16.4 and later. Call it after StripeTerminal.initialize() and handle Promise rejection. It is not implemented on Android or Web.
Native SDK and behavior updates
- Stripe-owned native dependencies were updated across Payment, Identity, and Terminal. This also fixes the Android shared Terminal initialization conflict that could cause reader connection to use a publishable key when Payment and Terminal were installed together; no application code change is required for that fix.
- PaymentSheet failures on Android now emit a single failure event instead of a duplicate event.
- A successful PaymentFlow confirmation no longer emits a spurious canceled event.
cancelDiscoverReaders()now settles reliably, including when no discovery is active.
