Bug Fixes

  • throttle check was inversed (f63e054)
  • use range for sentry dependency (c88bb37)

Features

  • add reportSentryNotEnabled method (9c89d4b)
  • allow to specify all sentry options (bc0fe02)
  • expose logger methods directly (1cfdfe4)
  • rename log helpers (8b46bd1)
  • specify environment explicitly (ea8ae8d)
  • use tags instead of extras (62bc4c7)

BREAKING CHANGES

  • The log helpers are now named e.g. captureError instead
    of error.
  • The second parameter to the log helpers now represents
    tags instead of extras when capturing a log event. To keep using
    extras the new options object as third parameter can be specified.
  • This changes so that logger methods are not exported
    via the logService object. Instead of
import { logService } from '@capraconsulting/sentry-utils-js';
logService.info("hello world");

this should be used:

import { info } from '@capraconsulting/sentry-utils-js';
info("hello world");
  • The release, environment and sentryDns attributes
    to initSentry should now be specified inside the options attribute.
    The buildTimestamp attribute is renamed to buildTime to follow what
    we actually store as tag name:
initSentry({
  options: {
    release: "xxx",
    environment: "prod",
    dns: "xxx",
  },
  buildTime: "xxx",
})
  • This removes the env utils that tries to detect
    the current environment, and requires the consumer to handle this
    itself and specify it during initialization.
