⚠️ Pre-release, very early testing. So far it has been tested on one device only: an ASUS ROG Ally (Z1 Extreme) running SteamOS, where the game works. Expect problems on other hardware — reports are very welcome.

Unofficial Linux build of LucaPazienza/gravityrush_pc 0.1.8 — Gravity Rush Remastered (PS4, CUSA01113) running natively on Linux, with the same launcher as on Windows. This is not an official release of the original project.

No game files are included. You need your own legally obtained copy, as an unpacked game folder (eboot.bin, sce_module, sce_sys).

About the use of AI

The Linux port — the Linux parts of the runtime, run.py and the launcher, the AppImage packaging and the documentation — was written with an AI coding assistant (Claude Code). I tested the result on the device above; the code has not been reviewed by the original author of the port. Please keep that in mind, and report anything that looks wrong.

Tested / not tested

  • ✅ ASUS ROG Ally (Z1 Extreme), SteamOS — the game runs. 1080p 35-60fps, no visual glitches so far
  • ✅ Builds and packages in a Debian 13 container; on a clean Arch system the runtime and launcher start and a Vulkan smoke test passes.
  • ❓ Steam Deck, other AMD GPUs (Mesa RADV), NVIDIA, Intel, other distributions — not tested yet.

Requirements

x86-64 Linux with glibc 2.41 or newer (check with ldd --version) and a Vulkan 1.3 driver.
