First public release. Everything works as described in the README; the limits are listed here rather than discovered.
Download
Roundstorm_0.1.0_aarch64.dmg — macOS on Apple Silicon only (11.0 or newer). SHA-256 is in SHA256SUMS.txt.
Not on Apple Silicon, or not on macOS? Skip the app: clone the repo and run the daemon, which works on Linux and Windows too.
git clone https://github.com/carlok/roundstorm.git && cd roundstorm
npm install && npm run build && node dist-server/index.mjs # then open http://127.0.0.1:8787Before you open it
- You need Node 22.16 or newer installed. The app bundles the daemon, not the runtime. It finds Node in the usual places (Homebrew, nvm, Volta, fnm); with none, the window stays empty and
~/Library/Logs/dev.roundstorm.app/roundstorm-daemon.logsays why. - It is not notarised, so macOS will not open a downloaded copy on a double-click. Right-click → Open, or System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. If it still refuses:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Roundstorm.app
- You need at least one brain installed and signed in:
claude,codex,agyorcursor-agent. Roundstorm ships no models and no keys; every turn is billed to whichever account that CLI uses, and a deliberation is agents × rounds of them.
What this is not
- There is no authentication. The daemon listens on
127.0.0.1; anything already running as you can drive it. Websites are refused (origin and Host checks on/apiand/ws), but that is not auth. - The capability tiers are advisory. They are the CLIs' own sandbox flags plus a working directory. At Full local an agent can act outside that directory, and there is no approval prompt before a destructive call. Read SECURITY.md before raising a tier.
- Windows has never been run. The code paths are tested from macOS; nobody has launched it there. Linux is exercised only by CI.
