ResetPls 0.1.6 beta 2
ResetPls 0.1.6 beta 2 — automatic-update test
This build tests an ordinary Sparkle ZIP update from the manually installed
ResetPls.app beta 1 (build 18) to build 19. No provider or UI behavior changed.
Only users who explicitly choose Beta updates in ResetPls Settings →
Updates will receive it. Stable installations remain on 0.1.5.
For testers on beta 1: select Beta updates, then choose Check for Updates.
After installation, confirm that Applications contains ResetPls.app (not a
second copy), Finder's Get Info reports build 19, and existing connections,
usage values, local token history and settings remain intact. Once verified,
you can select Stable updates again to receive future normal releases.

ResetPls 0.1.6 beta 1
ResetPls 0.1.6 beta 1 — name migration test
This is a manual-install test build for existing beta testers, not a stable
or automatic update. It changes the app file in Applications from
AI Usage.app to ResetPls.app. The bundle ID, signing team, App Group, Keychain
group and update feed remain unchanged.
If you already have AI Usage installed
- Quit AI Usage completely from its Settings window.
- In Applications, move AI Usage.app to the Trash, but do not empty the Trash.
- Unzip this download and move ResetPls.app to Applications. Do not leave
both apps in Applications. - Open ResetPls. Check that Claude/Codex connections, percentages, local
history and Settings are still present.
If anything fails, quit ResetPls, move it out of Applications and restore
AI Usage.app from the Trash. Do not delete app data or Keychain items.
This beta is deliberately not in the Sparkle appcast, so other installations
will not receive it automatically. A later beta will test the next normal
automatic update from an already renamed installation before stable rollout.

ResetPls 0.1.5
AI Usage is now ResetPls. This stable release updates the visible Mac app, widget, onboarding, settings and diagnostics name. The macOS bundle filename remains AI Usage.app to preserve automatic updates, permissions and existing local data. No reconnect or reinstall is required.
AI Usage 0.1.4
Stable update for the existing AI Usage test installations. Fixes the menu-bar panel toggle while the detached card is open, keeps the card draggable without resurfacing Settings, improves diagnostics and refresh status, and includes the setup, visibility, and Spanish copy refinements from the 0.1.4 release line. Signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple. Requires macOS 15 or later.
AI Usage 0.1.4 RC 2
Beta-channel release, build 13. Automatic updates remain on the stable channel by default. Testers can choose beta updates in Settings > Updates after installing this build once. Includes the signed provider safety policy and the earlier reconnect/usage fixes. This is not the stable release for normal clients.
AI Usage 0.1.4 RC 1
Release candidate for validating the exact customer ZIP. Build 12, signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple. Fixes the warning dot for never-connected assistants and prepares the signed remote safety policy (initially disables nothing). This is not a stable release and is not yet in the Sparkle update feed. AI Usage 0.1.3 beta 3
AI Usage 0.1.3 beta 3 (build 11) brings the approved explanation of weekly API-equivalent cost to the dashboard. Hover over EST. COST to see it without an extra button or panel resize. The cost remains an estimate, not a charge. When no public model price or token breakdown supports a calculation, the app shows N/A rather than inventing a value. This beta also adds published Standard API rates for GPT-6 Astra, Sol and Luna and retains token totals for unpriced model aliases. The app is signed and notarized for macOS 15 or later.
AI Usage 0.1.3 beta 2
AI Usage 0.1.3 beta 2 focuses on stale-data recovery and restoring local metrics.
- The menu now wakes an overdue refresh when a long-running app shows old data. Background polling rechecks its schedule after a foreground recovery and uses a conservative five-minute interval to reduce provider throttling.
- A provider's temporary limit still shows its last reading in orange, but the app respects the provider's requested retry time. Expired reset timers no longer appear as
0m. - Estimated cost and token totals remain visible during a temporary quota throttle. If local history permission is missing, the fields show
—and Settings offers a read-only recovery action for Claude or Codex. - The seven-day chart explains when it has no verified data to show.
Claude and Codex usage endpoints are not documented for third-party clients. A cached reading is explicitly marked as saved data, not a live measurement.
AI Usage 0.1.3 beta 1
- Makes Claude and Codex reconnection consistent across every screen and prevents cancelled or delayed sign-ins from leaving stale errors, false connection states or crashes.
- Restores concrete Claude and Codex plan names plus Claude reset timers.
- Keeps the latest valid reading during temporary provider rate limits, with saved/cached data shown in orange; yellow is reserved for elevated quota usage.
- Prevents disconnected providers from adding ghost values to the seven-day chart.
- Improves accessibility contrast and adds privacy-safe diagnostics and release-readiness checks.
- Signed with Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and verified across three launches on both Apple Silicon and Intel architectures.
AI Usage 0.1.2 beta 1
- Preserves the seven-day chart and streak while applying the refined Settings and detached-panel design.
- Shows the actual Claude plan (Max 5x/20x, Pro, etc.) from the authenticated profile.
- Removes the redundant assistant-count badge and simplifies the detached panel.
- Signed with Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and verified across three launches.
