v0.2.0 has many improvements over v0.1.0. I didn't account for all of them but here are some of the major ones

  • A better build system with proper compile time configuration.
  • A better testing framework.
  • Split the code into different modules.
  • Decoupled from platform specific code allowing for easier portability.
  • Added a testing module for validating dynamic memory usage. Traces calls to malloc/free, adds canary bytes in front of and behind allocated memory, and mocks malloc errors.
  • Added a testing module for validating semaphore, mutex, and thread usage. Traces and injects faults.
  • Fixed deadlocks 05a7348 and de56a44
  • Added header and library version. The library version is compiled into the binary.
  • Added ability to query for features at runtime.
  • Added more unit tests.

I listed some TODOs in the README I'd like to finish prior to releasing 1.0.0. You can use this library for toy projects or fun, but I would not use it in production. I haven't tested it enough to feel comfortable with that.

I'd also expect some breaking API changes before 1.0.0. Nothing major, but there are some options I may add to some functions.
