- Darian is a warlock posing as a bard, desperate for power and glory denied him by his many older siblings.
- Life as a true descendant of the King and Queen of San Tapaz was nice in many ways, but he grew up perpetually overshadowed by his more ruthless older siblings and his more magical half siblings
- He has recently made a pact with Hyrsam, the Prince of Fools, an Archfey who seeks anarchy across Bellandra.
- Hyrsam believes life should be lived freely, on a whim, and as selfishly as possible. What can be taken should, and what can be enjoyed must. He is known to many as a god of revelry, and to few as a god of great violence.
- Hyrsam will appear acting as one of the many illegitimate children of the King, calling Darian his little brother, to make mischief and host parties. His goal is to see the Broken God summoned so that it might cause a broader collapse across Bellandra.
- Hyrsam is very opposed to the rule of law, and will often nudge Darian to break as many rules and regulations as possible in exchange for greater and greater blessings.
- Darian wishes to secure power, and to make himself better and more needed to his King Father and his nation, by uniting the Broken God and restoring magic to the Santapa.
- Darian traveled to Crusche in the company of Luca Granate.
