Orbit 0.3.0

A personal command center for the Mac: menu bar panel, workspaces, command palette, widgets, productivity tools and Mac Health. No telemetry.

New

  • Mac Health disk map: a read-only treemap of your home folder. Shows live progress while it scans (entries, files, folders, size, elapsed time) and keeps the last finished map to open at once.
  • Clock: countdown timers, a pomodoro cycle with your own lengths, world clocks, and a Clock widget.
  • Assistant: timers and pomodoro by text or voice, plus an optional AI fallback for unusual phrasings.
  • Menu bar panel: arrange the blocks: drag to reorder, remove and add them, and pick the Mac Health readings it shows.
  • Agents: optional Conclave companion. Opens its local review cockpit for a folder you granted.
  • Interface: Brazilian Portuguese and a VoiceOver pass.
  • Updates: a daily check (Settings → Updates, can be turned off) that tells you when a newer version is out. It never downloads or installs by itself.

Fixes

  • Notes and snippets keep their drafts across reloads and Quit.
  • The database is protected by a lock, so two copies of Orbit never write at the same time.
  • The installer checks the new build's signature before it replaces the installed copy.

Install

  1. Download Orbit-0.3.0.zip below and unzip it.
  2. Move Orbit.app to Applications.
  3. The build is not notarized by Apple. On first open, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.

Requires macOS 14 or later. Widgets show "Open Orbit to sync" in this build; macOS may ask again for permissions after an update.
