New features and changes

I made further changes to xapian-lite, the dynamic module, but new version of xapian-lite should still work with old database. So this isn't a breaking change and not a major version upgrade. If you want the new features, you can recompile xapian-lite. But if you don't need them, xeft.el still works with old xapian-lite dynamic module.

Sorry for not making a proper release for so many version bumps... We jumped from v3.0 to v3.6.

  • Allow more flexible file filtering with xeft-file-filter and xeft-directory-filter.
  • Allow customizing the tile for new notes with xeft-title-function.
  • Prioritize title matches in the search result.
  • Now xeft-recursive can be follow-symlink, which tells xeft to follow symlink when scanning xeft-directory.
  • The preview window (brought up by SPC) now scrolls to the buffer section containing the search phrase.
  • Compile flags can now be customized by xeft-compile-args
  • Most recently accessed file are now shown first in the search results
  • Modifications to the xapian DB (due to reindexing) are now periodically committed to disk. (This requires recompiling xapian-lite dynamic module.)
  • Now xeft can detect base64 encodings (and long urls) in the text file and skip them when indexing. (This requires recompiling xapian-lite dynamic module.)
  • Some bug fixes.
