Highlights

  • actions/install and actions/download now work on macOS runners without sha256sum. The cache-key step hashed the tool list with sha256sum, which the macos-14 runner image doesn't ship (only shasum), so the step failed with sha256sum: command not found. It now falls back to shasum -a 256; both emit the same SHA-256 hex, so existing cache keys are unchanged. (#134)
  • Fix a broken ghr command after a Windows self-update. When ghr updated itself through its own installed shim, the running shim .exe is locked and couldn't be replaced; the new .ghr manifest was written and the legacy .shim deleted, leaving an older .shim-only shim with nothing to read (shim: cannot read <stem>.shim). ghr now keeps a .shim fallback whenever it can't replace the locked shim exe, so the command keeps resolving. A current shim always prefers the .ghr manifest, so this is safe for old and new shims. (#131)
