⚠️ Upgrading from v1.x

After updating, you may need to:

  1. Remove and re-add the integration if you see stale or duplicate entities
  2. Update any dashboard cards that reference old entity IDs
  3. If you have multiple accounts, the shared "Futures Market" and "Spot Market" devices will consolidate automatically on next restart

Binance Integration v2.0.0 — What's New

⚡ Real-Time Price Updates

Prices now update instantly via live streaming instead of refreshing every few seconds. You'll see price changes the moment they happen on Binance — no more waiting for the next poll cycle.

This also means no more API rate limit issues, even if you're tracking dozens of pairs. The streaming connection is lightweight and doesn't count against your API limits.

You can toggle this on or off from the integration settings. When turned off, it falls back to the regular interval-based updates.

📊 Futures Profit & Loss Tracking

A new Futures PnL sensor shows your total unrealized profit or loss across all open futures positions. You can see at a glance whether you're up or down.

Each position's details — entry price, current price, leverage, individual PnL, and liquidation price — are available as sensor attributes, so you can use them in dashboards, automations, or notifications.

🔗 Shared Price Sensors Across Accounts

If you have multiple Binance accounts, price sensors are now shared. Previously, adding two accounts with the same trading pairs would create duplicate sensors. Now there's only one "Binance Futures Market" and one "Binance Spot Market" device, regardless of how many accounts you add. Wallet and PnL data remain separate per account, as expected.

📈 Long-Term Statistics & Better Graphs

All sensors now work with Home Assistant's long-term statistics. This means:

  • Historical min/max/average values are recorded automatically
  • Data is kept indefinitely, even after your recorder database is purged
  • Statistics graphs and history panels show complete price and balance history over weeks and months

Price sensors with fiat currencies (USD, EUR, TRY, etc.) are also recognized as monetary values, so Home Assistant formats them correctly with proper currency symbols and locale-aware number formatting.

✅ Credential Check at Setup

Your API key and secret are now verified when you add the integration, not after. If something is wrong — invalid key, wrong secret, or missing permissions — you'll get a clear error message right away instead of a broken integration.

⚙️ Settings Now Work Properly

Fixed an issue where opening the integration settings to change pairs or update interval would show a "500 Internal Server Error" on newer Home Assistant versions. The settings page now loads correctly.

🛡️ Smarter Error Handling

If Binance temporarily blocks requests due to too many API calls, the integration now pauses automatically and resumes when the block is lifted. Previously this could cause repeated errors in your logs.

Individual data sources also fail independently — if wallet data can't be fetched for a moment, your price sensors keep updating normally instead of everything going unavailable.
