Discord Bot Setup
Follow the versioned Discord bot setup guide. It covers application creation, bot permissions, safe token storage and supported configuration.
The complete first-launch, offline verification and troubleshooting expansion is pending in the setup-guide pull request. Until merged, use the proposed guide for those additional steps. This is documentation, not a deployed service change.
Installation prerequisites: Docker, standalone bot, or Hermes installation.
Keep tokens out of Discord and public issues. Use one token with one owner. Checking the standalone configuration offline must not log into Discord or contact a printer; running the bot is a separate deliberate action. Guided help in Discord: /print-buddy setup runs a small-step, resumable setup checklist (the token is never collected in chat, and nothing is written until you reply apply), and /print-buddy debugging runs read-only, redacted diagnostics.
