⚠️ - There are quite a few features that are disabled by default now. For compatibility reasons (e.g FusionFix 4.0) as well as for more consistent quality across the board; some features are not as polished as others yet. Despite this being a now proper release, there are still bugs here and there which will be ironed out overtime.

Changelog

General Features

  • First Time Tutorial - Added a first-time tutorial that tells the player they should configure the mod, and how.
  • Warp To Shore - While swimming, press the Action key to teleport to a nearby shore.
  • Improved Wardrobe - Vanilla wardrobes are replaced with a faster, more configurable system. This feature is only advised on new games as the methods for grabbing "owned" clothing is not the same as the regular game's. This feature is aimed for users who want a new wardrobe system but also use clothing mods and don't want to use a trainer to access them.
  • Wardrobe Vans - Various vans across the map may be found, allowing the player to purchase any addon clothing they have. I recommend the customizable trio mod by donnits.
  • HUD Menu - Hold the Action key to bring up the HUD menu. This menu allows you to change HUD/Radar on the fly, similar to RDR2. With this, you can also enable a Dynamic HUD. With this, you can only see the map whilst in a vehicle. Your HUD is disabled in free roam unless you're in combat, equipped a weapon, or holding the radar zoom key.
  • Stamina Bar - A bar is placed beside the radar, indicating how much stamina the player has left. By default, it only shows below 75% total stamina, or if you're regenerating stamina.
  • More Stamina Loss - You lose stamina when: shooting, ducking, swimming, or aiming.
  • Damage From Stamina Use - The player may take damage if using stamina below a threshold. Similar to GTA V. Thanks to Chandanie jayasundara for the idea.
  • More Freebies - Adds dozens of freebies. Freebies are what the player is given upon entering a specific vehicle. For example, now upon entering any civilian car, there's a chance you'll get money from the glovebox. You can re-enable vanilla freebies, if desired. You can add your own via IVSDKDotNet/Scripts/LibertyTweaks/MoreFreebies
  • Death Blips - Adds blips on the map for the deceased.

Peds

  • Randomized Ped Euphoria - Peds above ~50% health have less euphoria/ragdoll time. Ranging from 50-1000 Ms by default. Disabled for civilians.
  • Cops Can Roll - Cops have a chance to combat roll left or right when you aim at them.
  • Cops Can Duck - Cops can duck while in combat.
  • Cops Seek Cover More - Cops tend to seek cover more often when you aim at them, instead of just watching you shoot at them.
  • Gangs Have Armor - Gang members may have armor, even in free roam.
  • Gangs Can Roll - Gang members have a chance to combat roll left or right when you aim at them, rarer than cops.
  • Varied Peds Health - Randomizes most ped max health. (200 is vanilla default HP)

Vehicles

  • Personal Vehicles - The personal vehicle has been reworked and remade from scratch, branching off into 2 different versions, as seen below.
    • Basic Vehicles - You can now have a Basic Personal Vehicle, which sets most non-tracked vehicle you get into as your basic vehicle. This vehicle goes across saves. The vehicle will be gone if the game itself hard-deletes it. This feature is basically an improvement to the vanilla game’s “personal vehicle” system, rather than being an overhaul, unlike the next option.
    • Tracked Vehicles - These remain as the previous Personal Vehicle system in LT, just renamed and improved drastically. Here are most prominent improvements though:
      - If the game hard-deletes your tracked vehicle, it will still be delivered post-missions.
      - It can be impounded, disabling deliveries.
      - You can now purchase various buffs for your tracked vehicle, including bulletproof tires, nitrous, hydraulics, weapon stashing, and much much more. You will need to enable this feature in the .ini (as it's not super polished yet) then purchase them at the appropriate location(s).
      - Your tracked vehicle now has a special blip now, instead of the regular garage one. Special thanks to donnits for providing an authentic icon.
      - You will have to discover the tracker services locations prior to unlocking them; it will inform you once you've found them, providing a tutorial for what they do.
  • Improved Car Explosions - Car explosions caused from rockets or grenades will now form two explosions instead of one.
  • Flip Cars Back Over - Adds the ability to roll your car back over when you're flipped over, as in GTA V.
  • Smoother Pedals For Keyboard - Smooths both gas/brake pedals so you're not redlining or screeching your tires all the time. You can configure the smoothing rates, and it's disabled in combat by default. You can also hold the SPRINT key to negate smoothing if desired.
  • Improved Sirens - The siren lights have been improved. For example, their lights will flicker on/off, and have varying patterns that dim/brighten the lights. In addition, NPCs may now use the horn.

Camera

  • Car Pass Shake - Driving past vehicles with high-speed results in camera shake & tilt, similar to NFS. There is a LT crash with this currently.
  • Camera Centering - The camera is centered both on foot & in vehicles. This feature can be or is disabled while: in combat, drive-bying, aiming, and/or using a gun/melee. It's pre-configured to feel like a mix of GTA SA & GTA V. Note: If you enable this feature while aiming/using guns, the crosshair may end up offset slightly. Nothing I can really do about it, unfortunately.
  • Shake Near Bullets - Slight camera shake when bullets are near the player.

Weapons & Combat

  • Switch Weapons While Aiming - You can now switch your weapons while aiming. Optionally, you can enable quick switches. Quick Switching allows you to do Saints Row 1/2 style weapon swaps as seen here.
  • Dynamic Crosshair - The crosshair is set to Complex while aiming at a ped; set to Basic while not.
  • Weapon Swaps Slow Time - The time is slowed while switching weapons. The field of view is also decreased during this time, configurable in the FOV settings.
  • Quick Switching - All weapon swaps are made immediate. Similar to Saints Row 1/2 & GTA SA.
  • SA Styled Auto Aim - Unlocks auto-aim when you've looked off of a locked ped for long enough.
  • Red Dot On Crosshair - The crosshair dot will appear red when aiming at alive peds. Does not work well with auto-aiming.
  • Flash On Damage - Screen flashes red when taking health damage. Scales with remaining health.
  • Always Show Dot With Gun - The crosshair dot will appear when you have a gun equipped while not aiming.
  • Show Screen Kill Effects - The screen will flash white when you get a kill. More apparent with headshots. Similar to GTA V. There is also a red "x" that shows when you get a kill.
  • Circle Crosshair - Turns the regular dot to a circle instead, with a black stroke/shadow around it. This, along the past 4 features make the crosshair system similar to RDR2/GTA V.
  • Hitmarkers - A greyscale "X" icon appears when you've damaged a ped. Similar to RDR2.
  • Improved Rolling - You can now roll diagonally, forwards, backwards, and with snipers. The default roll speed has also been increased.
  • Run and Gun - Shooting without aiming results in further camera distance, but faster movement speed. Similar to GTA V & RDR2.
  • Lethal Shotgun Headshots - Getting a headshot w/ a shotgun results in hefty ped damage. Ported from WeapFuncs with some balance adjustments.
  • Low Ammo Indicator Sound - Plays a little sound when the gun you’re firing has low magazine ammo. Similar to CS:2.
  • Switch Weapon No Reload - Stops guns from when reloading when unequipped. Thanks to WeapFuncs for the IV SDK .NET port of RealReload.
  • Toggle Sniper Scope On Health Damage - Unscopes snipers when taking health damage. Inspired by Halo. This feature is tied to Toggle Snipe Scope as well.

Progression

  • Unlock Cop Blips - Police blips are now disabled until you've beaten all vigilante missions.

Game Fixes

  • Roll In Air Fix - Rolling in air causes the player to ragdoll. Meaning, you cannot roll off buildings to negate fall damage anymore.
  • Death Timescale Fix - Fixes the game sometimes not slowing down when dead, typically from taking a lot of damage upon death.
  • Ped Fall Ragdoll Fix - Peds now ragdoll if they're at a high enough height, making it so helicopter crash victims no longer magically live.
  • No Proofs for Peds (Experimental) - Disables all proofing for peds, making it so missions such as No Way On The Subway can be beaten much quicker. Experimental & disabled by default as some missions are guaranteed to be bugged.
  • No Sudden Stamina Gain - The game seems to reset your stamina sometimes (or might be from LT, dunno at this point). This regulates all stamina gains to never exceed 10.
  • Lower Rancher Camera Height - Lowers the rancher camera height a bit.
  • Ragdoll on KO - Whenever a pedestrian plays the KO animations (the San Andreas looking ones) they will ragdoll at a random time, making it look more natural.

Project Fixes & Changes

  • Fixed various multiplayer crashes. Special thanks to Sand. for these fixes.
  • Removed Low Health Exhaustion & Realistic Reload Quick Reload System. Just didn't fit very well.
  • Fixed Randomized Car Explosion, Peds Lock Car Doors & Extended Ped Weapon Pool balance. The chances of both were too high.
  • Improved Remove Weapons on Death. You can now purchase the bribe even when the prompt goes away; you must be within distance of when the message was shown. It's quite a generous distance, tho.
  • Improved Car Camera Tilt & Rotation. It will now also rotate based off the steering of the current vehicle. Values are also adjusted to be less extreme. All values are also inverted if the camera is facing the opposite heading of the car.
  • Updated to use IV SDK .NET 1.9.1 and CCL 2.0
  • Removed Allow Cops All Missions; was just buggy, and was a forgotten experiment anyway
  • Improved config file.
  • Added a basic readme file for installation/updating notes.
  • Significantly improved Dynamic FOV vehicle/on foot transitions.
  • Added more parameters to Dynamic FOV: Sprinting, Ducked, Aiming, & Vehicle Speed Scale
  • Adjusted default Dynamic FOV settings.
  • Camera Shake options have been smoothed a bit.
  • Added Allow Replace Files. Liberty Tweaks now utilizes the update folder to replace blips.wtd. Disable this & don’t install the new update folder if you don’t want to use it. Currently only affects Tracked Vehicles blips (from Personal Vehicles)
  • Added Personal Vehicle blip. Special thanks to donnits for providing a more faithful icon.
  • Changed all features to be true/false instead of 1/0, making it clearer what's a feature, and what's a configuration.
  • Changed folder names to be less ugly (removed “Files” part from folder names.)
  • Changed Quick-Save key to F5, since this is the default for most games out there.
  • Loading Fade-In's duration can now be configured.
  • Added [CAMERA] section to .ini file.
  • LibertyTweaks.save data is now located where your saves are if using xlive.dll. Which is %localappdata%/Rockstar Games/GTA IV/savegames/user_ee000000deadc0de This will ensure updating LibertyTweaks is easier and will not replace LT specific save data such as personal vehicles, tracked clothing, quick-save location, and more. You can use custom locations, or return to the previous system via local data. (See new Local LibertyTweaks Data & LibertyTweaks Data Location options in .ini file.)
  • Shoulder Swap now uses the Action/Pickup key for toggling by default. You can use custom keys if desired.
  • Multiple tutorials have been added for various features such as: Stamina Bar, Unlock Cop Blips, Shoulder Swap, and more.
  • Lose Stars While Unseen will no longer reset the search zone.
  • You can now add weapons to the list of Toggle Sniper Scope.
  • Camera transitions have been improved a lot. Specifically for Dynamic FOV & Cam Tilt/Rotations.
  • Improved AI is now ranged based. The closer you are to a ped, the more they will shoot, and the more accuracy they have. Special thanks to Gamer Raiden/Scrapper92 for the suggestion.
  • Health Regeneration is has been reworked a bit. More balanced in the player's favor.
  • Gun Recoil now slightly shifts the camera upwards, making it a little mechanical rather than purely visual.
