WardriveMap

View Wigle wardriving CSV exports on a map - route, Wi-Fi access points, and Bluetooth (BLE) devices. Everything runs in your browser; files are never uploaded or stored.

See it live at https://wardrive.caueb.com.

Use

Open the site, then Load CSV (or drag a file onto the map). Data stays in memory only - refresh or Clear to discard it.

Map

  • Full-bleed map with Dark / Light / Satellite / Topo basemaps (Layers)
  • Optional heatmap and street-snapped route (OSRM, with GPS fallback)
  • Encryption-colored markers, count-based clustering, collapsible legend
  • Filters drawer: search, min RSSI, kind / encryption / flag chips
  • Devices drawer: table, sort, detail inspector (including threat reasons)
  • KPI bar: Devices, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Open, Hidden, WPS, Threats (click to filter)
  • Replay scrubber when a capture includes timestamps

Insights

  • Security posture - encryption mix; open / WPS / threats / flock
  • Path & coverage - area, distance, speed, GPS fixes, captures over time
  • Identity - vendors, shared SSIDs, mobile, flock
  • RF environment - RSSI histogram, bands, channel distribution

Notes

  • Map tiles from OpenStreetMap / CARTO / Esri / OpenTopoMap; routing via public OSRM. Network required for tiles and route snap.
  • Vendor names from local oui.json (Wireshark manuf-derived).
  • Hidden / randomized / WPS / Flock / mobile / threat flags are best-effort client heuristics, not authoritative security assessments.
  • No accounts, no backend, no file upload.
