QCBridgeN v0.0.1
QCBridgeN 0.0.1
What QCView shows and plays, out to the network as an NDI® source.
- The sink. A small menu-bar (macOS) or tray (Windows) application that QCView starts when you switch its output on in Settings ▸ Output. The viewport goes out as it is: single or dual view, splits, wipes, difference, the display transform, safety guides and note strokes, plus the mixed audio, as an NDI source named "QCView".
- Only when something changed. QCView publishes a frame when the picture changes, so a paused viewer costs the network nothing. 1080p BGRA by default; the raster (up to 3840x2160), the picture (viewport, side A or side B) and the included layers are in Settings… from the menu-bar item.
- Lifecycle. Started by QCView, it quits when the output is switched off or QCView quits. Started by hand, it waits for QCView and keeps the NDI source up between sessions. The receiver count shows in QCView's Settings.
- Installers. macOS: a notarized pkg (Apple Silicon) that installs the app and registers it with QCView. Windows: a Setup that installs under Program Files and registers the output. The NDI runtime is included on both; an installed NDI Runtime is used instead when present.
- Tools. qcvo-probe plays either end of QCView's output bus for testing without QCView or a receiver; ndi-recv reports what a receiver actually gets.
