  • New ironbench target: real - the same golden tasks run on a live board (MicroPython REPL over USB-UART), opt-in via IRONBENCH_REAL_PORT.
IRONBENCH_REAL_PORT=COM4 uv run ironbench run --task uart-echo --target real
  • CH340-safe serial IO: rate-limited writes, single-threaded link access (bursts corrupt into NULs, concurrent read+write crashes the driver)
  • paste-mode handshake, main.py hygiene + soft reset before staging, output buffer cleared after staging
  • live-verified on ESP32: uart-echo PASS in 20.9s
