Velair 1.5.0
Velair is now available directly from the default HACS store π
This is an important milestone for the project and makes installation easier for
the Home Assistant community. Velair 1.5.0 also expands language support,
clarifies how Profiles and Modes work, refines the active setup chooser, and
refreshes the project branding.
β¨ Added
- Added complete German, French, and Dutch translations for the Velair panel,
optional Lovelace card, Home Assistant setup, entities, and states. - Added regional language fallback and localized date and time formatting.
π Improved
- Updated installation guidance now that Velair is available directly from the
default HACS store without adding a custom repository. - Updated the Velair logo assets with dedicated standard and high-resolution
versions for clearer rendering. - Clarified how Profiles and Modes work together. Direct Profile activation
replaces the active set, and zones no longer covered immediately return to
their Default schedules. Use a Mode to activate several non-overlapping
Profiles together. - Made Manual a display-only state in Velair's chooser. Direct Profile
activation enters this state, while selecting Default or a custom Mode leaves
it. The native Home Assistant selector retains Manual for compatibility;
selecting it keeps the active Profiles and only detaches them from their
custom Mode.
π οΈ Fixed
- Fixed a Chrome tab crash that could occur when clicking explanatory text in
the Mode and Profile chooser.
π§ Notes
- Update through HACS when possible, restart Home Assistant, and refresh the
browser or companion app after installing the release. - When using the optional Lovelace cards, confirm that
/velair_frontend/velair-card.jsis registered as a JavaScript module. See
the troubleshooting guide if a card shows a configuration error.
