Install (Windows)

3. Sign in when the window pops up.
4. Close the sign-in window. Installer continues automatically.

2. Double-click Install.command. macOS may say "can't be opened because Apple
   cannot check it for malicious software" — right-click → Open the first time.
3. Enter your Mac password when prompted (sudo needs it to copy the binary
   into /Library/Application Support/).
4. Sign in when Terminal pops up. Close that window when you see "Agent Active
   & Tracking…". Installer continues automatically.

One-click install on Windows or macOS. Download the right zip below, unzip, run the installer, sign in once. Agent runs silently, auto-restarts, survives reboots.

What's new vs v2.1.0

• Persisted Firebase auth — credentials entered once at install time; the refresh token is cached at %ProgramData%\ComputerSpyAI\auth-state.json (Windows) or /Library/Application Support/ComputerSpyAI/auth-state.json (macOS) and reused across every reboot. No more re-signing-in when the machine restarts.
• Interactive first-run, headless after — agent detects non-TTY environments (Scheduled Task / LaunchAgent) and fails fast with clear instructions if no auth state exists.
• One-click installers do the sign-in for you — Install.bat (Windows) and Install.command (macOS) prompt for credentials on first run, wait for auth-state.json to appear, then register the background runner.
• Native binaries — packaged with @yao-pkg/pkg targeting Node 20 (node20-win-x64 and node20-macos-arm64); no customer-side Node.js install required.
• Cross-platform auto-updater (code-ready, activates on next release) — every installed agent will auto-upgrade to future versions within ~1 hour, SHA-256-verified.

Fixes from broken v2.1.0 build (Windows)

• v2.1.0 .exe had ERR_REQUIRE_ESM at launch (pkg 5.x loaded the entrypoint via CJS require; index.js was ESM). Converted index.js to CJS in v2.2.0.
• v2.1.0 .exe pkg target was node18-win-x64 but the bundled desktop-idle native module was built for Node 20 (NODE_MODULE_VERSION mismatch). Bumped pkg target to node20-win-x64.

Windows install

1. Download desktop-agent-v2.2.0.zip below
2. Unzip, right-click Install.bat -> Run as administrator
3. Sign in once when prompted; installer registers the Scheduled Task

macOS install (Apple Silicon)

1. Download desktop-agent-mac-v2.2.0.zip below
2. Unzip, double-click Install.command
3. First-run Gatekeeper prompt: right-click Install.command -> Open (one time only)
4. Terminal opens for one-time sign-in; agent registers as a LaunchAgent and starts immediately
