SRanibro v0.1.5-beta
This beta adds Pimax Dream Air / XR5 support while retaining the existing Pimax VR4, StarVR One, and Varjo paths.
Compatibility hotfix
- XR5 image EyeWide, combined-gaze correction, and related runtime state are now applied only while Dream Air / XR5 is active. VR4, StarVR, Varjo, and VPE always retain their established SRanipal-derived EyeWide path.
- Eyelid calibration is now stored separately for each HMD, preventing an XR5 baseline, blink depth, or mid-close anchor from leaking into another headset.
- XR5-only controls are hidden outside XR5, and an active Wide capture is cancelled safely when Apply & reload switches devices.
- The former shared
sranibro_calib.tomlis left untouched because its originating HMD cannot be identified safely. After updating, use Recenter once on each HMD to establish its new per-device calibration file.
Highlights
- Dream Air / XR5 200x200 120 Hz stereo eye-camera, Tobii wearable data, and native EyeChip gaze support.
- Optional fused EyeChip gaze plus saved per-eye center, range, and vergence correction.
- Safe Geometry Fit with OPEN/HALF/CLOSED, gaze, slow-close, blink, and untouched holdout phases. The fixed inner XR5 IR LED/lens area is excluded from the search.
- Opt-in calibration recording export containing labelled stereo PNGs and anonymized metadata for feedback.
- Personal XR5 image EyeWide and eyebrow collection/fitting workflows.
- Stable eyebrow post-processing, master enable switch, and direct VRChat FT/v2 eyebrow OSC.
- Long-session eyelid calibration, shallow-eye reach, blink handling, gaze-yoke, Wide symmetry, and Wide-to-blink transition improvements.
- UI cleanup, collapsible calibration sections, adaptive brightness, and minimized-window memory fixes.
Model and runtime requirements
- SRanipal eyelid weights and a Tobii stream-engine DLL are not bundled. Supply copies you are authorized to use.
- Safe Geometry Fit is implemented entirely in the executable and needs no Python, but evaluates the configured SRanipal eyelid model.
- Eyebrow and XR5 EyeWide
Fit in app (no Python)refit a head on an existing compatible base model. Basebrow.bin/ Wide model weights are not bundled. - Creating an eyebrow base model from scratch with
Train & Bakestill requires Python, PyTorch, and the separatevr_eyebrowtraining project.
