[Client Mod] Keybinder 0.7.6

@chamomilo chamomilo released this 05 Sep 16:55

Smarter preparation for Improve

Hello, SKLOTOPOLIS!

Keybinder 0.7.6 can prepare an external world object automatically: it selects
the exact target, sends a quiet Examine, waits for the server response without
freezing the client, and then continues the keybind. This release also fixes
partially used marble, slate, and sandstone shards not being found.

What is new in 0.7.6?

Automatic external-object preparation

Smart Improve no longer requires the player to double-click Examine before
improving a forge, altar, fence, or another external object. For Hover,
Selected, and exact-object targets, Keybinder now pins and selects the exact
target, sends a quiet Examine, waits asynchronously for its improvement data,
and safely resumes the remaining keybind steps.

Queued Smart Improve actions for the same target can reuse their known
requirement while still respecting the live action queue.

Partially used stone shards

Marble, slate, and sandstone shards remain valid improvement resources after
their first use, including when the Wurm client reports the shortened generic
name shards. Exact material and icon checks prevent unrelated shards from
being selected.

3rd Person View commands

When WU-third_person_view is installed and exposes its Keybinder command
catalog, the editor adds a 3rd Person View category. This optional integration
does not add a hard dependency on that mod.

Compatibility

  • New messages are localized in English, Brazilian Portuguese, and German.
  • Saved keybinds remain compatible with 0.7.5.
  • Existing queue-monitor settings and layouts are unchanged.

Installation and upgrade

  1. Disable the old Custom Actions, Improved Improve, and i2improve
    client mods.
  2. Download keybinder-0.7.6.zip below.
  3. Extract it into your Wurm Unlimited client directory, as usual for Ago's
    Client Mod Launcher.
  4. When upgrading, overwrite the existing Keybinder files. Managed keybinds are
stored separately and are not replaced by the archive.
  5. If the KB icon is not visible, enable Keybinder in HUD Settings.

[Client Mod] Keybinder 0.7.5

Choose a tag to compare

@chamomilo chamomilo released this 29 Aug 23:28

Put the action queue on either side of the screen

Hello, SKLOTOPOLIS!

Keybinder 0.7.5 lets you place the compact Queue Monitor on either the right or
left edge of the screen. Its complete layout mirrors automatically, including
the drawer direction, lamps, text, border, and header arrow.

What is new in 0.7.5?

Left or right screen edge

Open the Keybinder window and use Queue monitor → Right edge / Left edge
beside the action queue limit. The choice takes effect immediately and is saved
for the next launch.

On the left edge the panel is fully mirrored:

  • the panel opens toward the center of the screen;
  • the lamp and arrow column moves to the panel's right side;
  • the arrow reverses its open and close directions;
  • action, Tool, and Target text is right-aligned beside the lamps;
  • the inner border moves to the correct side.

Expanded header

When the panel is open, the space above the action rows displays the localized
Queue monitor title. The collapsed strip remains minimal and shows only its
direction arrow and Build Menu-style queue lamps.

Compatibility

  • The new setting is localized in English, Brazilian Portuguese, and German.
  • Existing installations default to the original right-edge layout.
  • Saved keybinds remain compatible with 0.7.4.

Installation and upgrade

  1. Disable the old Custom Actions, Improved Improve, and i2improve
    client mods.
  2. Download keybinder-0.7.5.zip below.

[Client Mod] Keybinder 0.7.4

Choose a tag to compare

@chamomilo chamomilo released this 29 Aug 22:34

See your action queue and cancel queued actions before they start

Hello, SKLOTOPOLIS!

Keybinder 0.7.4 adds a compact Wurm-styled action queue monitor, safer target
validation, and German localization. It also lets you mark a later queued
action for cancellation: Keybinder remembers the request and stops that action
as soon as Wurm starts it.

What is new in 0.7.4?

Compact action queue monitor

  • A compact strip sits against the right edge and shows up to ten native Build
    Menu queue lamps.
  • Click the left arrow above the lamps to slide the panel open. It changes to a
right arrow for closing the panel.
  • The expanded panel shows each action with its Tool and Target, and sizes
    itself to the displayed text.
  • Click a lit lamp to cancel that action. If it is a later server-queue entry,
Keybinder remembers the request and sends Stop when it becomes current.

Safer execution and queue handling

  • Sources and targets are validated against Wurm's action rules before an
    action is sent.
  • Impossible combinations are skipped with a clear Event message.
  • Queue capacity is checked step by step against currently available slots.
  • Long saved chains are no longer disabled only because their total
theoretical cost exceeds the character's queue limit.
  • Hover matching, nearby resolution, batch queue costs, Embark/Disembark, and
    managed bind restoration were corrected.

Localization

  • Added complete German localization alongside English and Brazilian
    Portuguese.

Saved keybinds remain compatible with 0.7.3.

Installation and upgrade

  1. Disable the old Custom Actions, Improved Improve, and i2improve
    client mods.
  2. Download keybinder-0.7.4.zip below.

[Client Mod] Keybinder 0.7.3

Choose a tag to compare

@chamomilo chamomilo released this 11 Aug 02:35

One key, many actions — now with portable tool filters and smooth scrolling

Hello, SKLOTOPOLIS!

Keybinder 0.7.3 is ready for testing.

This is a small update with several fixes and a useful new option for actions
that need materials from your inventory — for example, finding a sprout and
using it to plant.

What is new in 0.7.3?

Inventory + filter tools

This is helpful when an action must use a material stored in your inventory as
its Tool. For example, you can plant whatever sprout you have or create kindling
from whatever suitable wood scrap is available.

It is simple to use:

  1. Select Tool → Inventory + filter. Keybinder asks you to choose a filter
    item; click a sprout.
  2. When you press the keybind, Keybinder searches your inventory for any
    matching sprout and selects it.
  3. The selected sprout is used for the action — in this example, Plant.

The command stores the item's normalized short type as a portable filter. At
execution time it searches in this order:

  • toolbelt;
  • direct player inventory;
  • nested containers.

Smart Improve became faster

Smart Improve was optimized to calculate its success-rate predictions faster.

Smooth mouse-wheel scrolling

Thanks to Zeex, the bug affecting mouse-wheel scrolling in large keybind
lists was found and fixed. The list no longer jumps back toward the top.
Scroll and enjoy!

Compatibility and internal fixes

  • Resolved an incompatibility with the Archery mod. Creature names are now
displayed correctly instead of labels such as 20m null.
  • The KB launcher continues to preserve its position, visibility, and lock
    state.
  • Added small fixes and internal refactoring without changing saved keybinds.

Installation and upgrade

  1. Disable the old Custom Actions, Improved Improve, and i2improve
    client mods.
  2. Download
    Keybinder 0.7.3 from GitHub.
  3. Extract keybinder-0.7.3.zip into your Wurm Unlimited client directory, as
usual for Ago's Client Mod Launcher.
  4. When upgrading, simply overwrite the existing Keybinder files. Your managed
keybinds are stored separately and are not replaced by the archive.
  5. Start the game. If the KB icon is not visible, enable Keybinder in
    HUD Settings.

Keybinder is a keybind manager, not an unattended automation or scripting
system. It sends ordinary Wurm actions while respecting your character's action
queue.

Thank you to everyone who tested the new functions and sent detailed Event
logs. They made these fixes possible.

If you find a bug or have another idea, please reply in the forum thread and
include the relevant Event log. Enable Debug logging when possible.

Cheers!

Keybinder 0.7.2

Choose a tag to compare

@chamomilo chamomilo released this 06 Aug 12:01

What is new in 0.7.2?

Archaeology Identify

The new dedicated Archaeology Identify step selects the correct brush or
chisel for each unidentified fragment. It can search the toolbelt only or the
toolbelt followed by loaded inventory containers, and fills only the free part
of the character's action queue.

Smarter Smart Improve

Smart Improve now logs the target QL, estimated Improve success chance, and the
conditional chance of advancing to the next rarity level after a rarity
drumroll. The estimates use the live crafting catalog and character data
available to the client.

Fixes and improvements

  • Hitched and renamed wagons can be used as Smart Improve targets.
  • Examined world objects provide Smart Improve with their target data.
  • Rift stone shards are protected from selection as ordinary rock shards.
  • Stone chisel and carving knife identification uses the actual item type.
  • Improve actions for cold metal targets are rejected locally with a clear
    message.
  • Smart Improve source, failure, and debug logging is clearer.
  • HUD Multi supports a single action and selectors close when no longer needed.
  • Between-server travel and server-specific keybind restoration are more
    reliable.
  • Hovered, nearby, and inventory filters use clearer, more consistent matching.

See the README for
installation and upgrade instructions.

Keybinder 0.7.1

Choose a tag to compare

@chamomilo chamomilo released this 04 Aug 22:03

Keybinder 0.7.1 is a focused follow-up built around player feedback and real in-game use.

Highlights

  • Pick up from bulk — take exact quantities from BSBs, FSBs, crates, bulk container units, and bulk containers inside vehicles.
  • Chain several bulk transfers under one key for convenient panfilling.
  • Inventory + filter — find a matching item through the toolbelt, inventory, backpack, and loaded nested containers.
  • Smart Improve — choose toolbelt only, or toolbelt first with an inventory fallback; toolbelt containers are searched recursively.
  • Per-character enabled keybinds, including isolated state and queues for simultaneous clients.
  • Keybinder now starts minimised to its KB launcher icon.
  • Numerous fixes for inventory targets, Drink, captured mod actions, HUD Multi, and failed bulk transfers.

Keybinder remains a keybind manager, not unattended automation. It sends ordinary Wurm actions while respecting the character's action queue.

See the bundled README or the project README for setup instructions and full details.

Wurm Keybinder

Keybinder 0.6.1 for Wurm Unlimited

Tired of managing keybinds through console commands, juggling toolbelt setup
files, and remembering dozens of keys? Keybinder replaces all of that with one
clear in-game window. All your keybinds are visible in one place, where you can
create, edit, disable, or delete them without digging through configuration
files or memorizing commands.

A single key can perform an entire routine. Start recording, carry out the
actions normally, and Keybinder will remember them for you. Want a key for
bashing stumps or smelting items? Easy. Want to chop anything in your kitchen
with just one key? Easy. You can even assign several keybinds to the same key
and switch between them in-game with a one-second long press. Keep all your
favorite actions on one key and select the one you need without becoming a
keyboard pianist.

Keybinder even makes the mouse wheel useful: bind it to actions such as moving
and rotating objects. Less console work, less clicking, fewer keys to remember:
just press a key or turn the wheel and get back to playing.

What's new in 0.6.1

  • Target selection is now more reliable across inventories, containers, the
toolbelt, equipment, and the game world. Keybinder can select a tool from
    your backpack automatically.
  • Added Import Wurm keybinds and Prepare mod removal controls to the
main window. Keybinder can restore imported commands without overwriting
keys that now belong to something else.
  • Movement, camera, and essential HUD controls are excluded from import, so
Keybinder does not take ownership of Wurm's fundamental controls.
  • Complete English and Brazilian Portuguese localization with a persistent
Wurm-styled language selector and a safe English fallback. More languages
    are welcome!
  • There are now two ways to add an action: perform it and let Keybinder record
it, or choose it from the complete list of vanilla actions.
  • Keybinder checks the available action queue before it starts. If the entire
keybind cannot fit, nothing is sent. Empty your queue and press the key again.
  • Repeated Push and Push gently actions retain the selected object across
every server-side recreation. Finally, you can push, push, push, and keep
    going.
  • An unavailable target skips only its own step and writes the reason to the
system Event tab. The remaining steps continue in their saved order.
  • Missing nearby targets are skipped silently. If a target is visible but
outside the action range, Keybinder writes a useful "come closer" message to
    the Event tab.
  • Your current mount or vehicle can now be used as a target. Want to disembark
or open a cart hold with one key? Easy.
  • All your accounts can use the same keybind list.
  • Embarking on a vehicle turns your view to face the same direction as the vehicle.

Installation

  1. Disable the old action and i2improve client mods.
  2. Extract keybinder-0.6.1.zip into the Wurm Unlimited client directory using
    Ago's mod loader as usual.
  3. If the Keybinder introduction does not appear after startup, enable
    Keybinder in HUD Settings.
