CHASM schedules can now dispatch standalone activities through the existing frontend APIs. Activity actions own validation, timestamp target IDs, current-configuration start requests, exact ID/run-ID termination, and native completion interpretation. Activity execution retries retain one scheduler action and overlap slot; scheduler retries reuse the buffered target and request IDs. Activity results never populate legacy workflow fields or flow implicitly into later activity arguments.
Activity schedules require an explicit configured overlap policy. They support SKIP, BUFFER_ONE, BUFFER_ALL, ALLOW_ALL, TERMINATE_OTHER, and registered
temporal.buffer_latest; CANCEL_OTHER, selector conflicts, unknown names, action-kind changes, V1 routing, and V1 migration are rejected. BUFFER_LATEST replaces only older waiting occurrences of its own policy, using occurrence time and insertion order, and records overlap skips without consuming capacity.Validation: action/policy and frontend routing tests pass on this intermediate layer. Full lifecycle, serialization, lost-response, callback, retry, termination, and manual/backfill coverage is included in the final integration layer.
