The new timesheet command provides unprecedented flexibility for Azure DevOps hour tracking:

🔍 Flexible Task Filtering

  • Closed only: Perfect for teams that close tasks daily
  • Worked on only: Ideal for incremental hour logging on active tasks
  • Both: Comprehensive view of all work regardless of task state

📅 Multiple Date Field Support

  • Closed Date: Filter by when tasks were marked complete
  • Changed Date: Capture incremental work based on last update
  • Smart override: Automatically uses Changed Date for "worked on only" filter

📋 Three Grouping Modes

  • By hierarchy: Traditional tree structure (Feature > User Story > Task) with rolled-up hours
  • By date: Flat list grouped by day of the week for daily time tracking
  • By date with hierarchy: Combined view showing hierarchy within each day
