What's new
Open ClipPin from anywhere with ⇧⌘C. The shortcut works in any app, with no Accessibility permission needed.
If you installed v1.2.5, this release also stops ClipPin from breaking ⌘⇧V in Google Docs. v1.2.5 registered ⌘⇧V system-wide, which intercepted paste-without-formatting before web apps ever saw it. The shortcut has moved to ⇧⌘C and is now stored in your preferences — an editable settings panel is coming next.
Privacy fixes
- The sensitive-data warning now actually appears. ClipPin has always detected credit cards, API keys and private keys, but the warning badge lived in a code path that never rendered. You'll now see it on the clip itself.
- Clipboard content no longer goes to the system log. ClipPin was printing the first characters of pinned clips to the unified log, where other tools can read them.
- Your files are now owner-only (
0600). History, pins, preferences, saved images and thumbnails were previously readable by any other account on the Mac. Existing installs are repaired the next time ClipPin saves.
Upgrading
Your existing history, pins and settings carry over untouched.
