• LedgerTB now shuts down its local server and releases the book lock if the desktop window process exits unexpectedly, preventing invisible orphaned instances from blocking a book.
• Running LedgerTB --selfcheck now performs the diagnostic instead of accidentally launching a second copy of the app.

Improved

• Data Safety now includes a native Choose folder… control for assistant close-package exports: Finder on macOS and the standard folder browser on Windows.
• MCP setup text now makes clear that its configuration is generated for the current computer; Windows automatically shows its installed LedgerTB.exe path.
• Book-lock timestamps are shown as readable local times instead of raw technical timestamps.
