What's new

Close Map

LedgerTB now turns the trial balance into an account-level close workflow:

  • Compare every current-year balance with the prior year, including dollar and percentage changes.
  • Organize accounts into lead-sheet groups and assign accounts in bulk.
  • Record balance explanations, evidence references, and review notes beside each account.
  • Track preparer and reviewer signoffs, with unresolved notes shown as exceptions.
  • Automatically mark a reviewed account as Changed when later ledger activity or supporting work changes it.

Close package and year close

  • Annual Excel and PDF close packages now include the Close Map, evidence references, notes, and signoff status.
  • The year-close checklist shows incomplete Close Map reviews and requires an explanation before intentionally closing with exceptions.
  • Assistant access can read Close Map readiness and propose explanations, while human signoff remains human-only.

Existing books are upgraded automatically when opened. macOS is signed and notarized for Apple Silicon; Windows users should use the setup installer.
