What's new

Clear professional-use disclosures

  • LedgerTB now states plainly that it is software—not accounting, tax, legal,
investment, audit, assurance, or other professional advice.
  • The download page puts user responsibility, warranty, and liability language
    before either platform download.
  • The repository and official builds include the full Disclaimer, Privacy &
Data Practices notice, and Website and Distribution Terms alongside the MIT
    License and third-party notices.

Privacy and AI data-flow clarity

  • The new Privacy & Data Practices notice distinguishes the local encrypted
book from optional data sent to Anthropic or an MCP client's configured AI
    provider.
  • Website infrastructure, GitHub downloads, Google Fonts, support messages,
local backups, credential-vault storage, and shared-book locations are
    described directly.
  • The MIT License remains the controlling license for LedgerTB source code.

Visible inside the app

  • A Legal & Disclosures page is available without opening a book and remains
    linked from the app navigation.
  • The lock screen now reminds users that professional verification, client-data
protection, and recovery copies remain their responsibility.
  • No bookkeeping calculations, permissions, or stored book data changed in
    this patch.

The macOS build is signed and notarized for Apple Silicon. Windows users should
use the setup installer.
